Effective Date: June 15, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HermesGuild (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Marketplace Purpose

Overview: HermesGuild is an online marketplace designed to connect employers with prospective apprentices and interns. The Platform serves as a central hub where businesses can post opportunities and individuals can browse and apply.
Intermediary Role: HermesGuild acts solely as an intermediary to facilitate these connections. We are not an employer, recruiter, or party to any employment contract between users. We do not participate in hiring, negotiations, or the management of programs.
User Responsibility: Users are responsible for verifying the authenticity, quality, and legality of any listings or applications.

3. Payments and Fees

Listing Fees: To post an opportunity, users agree to pay the designated fee ($10 for "Craft" or $49 for "Code").
Processing: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. HermesGuild does not collect, store, or have access to your financial information or payment credentials.
Refunds: All fees are non-refundable once a listing is published on the Platform.

4. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Post fraudulent, misleading, or defamatory content.
  • Engage in spam, unsolicited solicitation, or data scraping.
  • Attempt to bypass or compromise the security of the Platform.

5. Intellectual Property

The HermesGuild name, logo, and platform design are the exclusive property of Hermes Guild LLC. Users retain ownership of the content they submit but grant HermesGuild a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content on the Platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

HermesGuild LLC is provided "as-is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages—including direct, indirect, or consequential—arising from your use of the Platform, the actions of other users, or any disputes between employers and job seekers.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California.
